The Sketchbook Project is the world's largest library of artists' books, crowd-sourced from every corner of the globe. From first-time creators to professional artists, everyone is invited to submit a book to our public exhibition space, Brooklyn Art Library. By getting a sketchbook, you are joining the movement, adding your voice, and becoming part of something huge.

  • STANDARD SUBMISSION, $28: Includes one blank sketchbook and automatic submission to Brooklyn Art Library. Your book will be available to view in person in our permanent and traveling libraries.
  • DIGITIZED SUBMISSION, +$35: Your book will also be professionally scanned and added to our online archive, where viewers can favorite your book, add it to a collection, and save it to view later.

Included in your Sketchbook Project order will be information about connecting, cataloging, and sending in your book. You will also receive a list of themes to choose from. These themes are suggested starting points - feel free to adapt and create your book using your own style! 2017 themes include: A Story Worth Telling, Guidebook to the Future, Trains and Planes, and more!

The postmark deadline for The Sketchbook Project 2017 is March 31, 2017.
